Old friend
Hello again Mike. Having grown up in Bedford and loving music, I remember a lot of these bands and the Battle of the Bands. When I was in 9th grade, a band, The Galaxies, who played a few Battle of the bands, played at my 14th birthday party at my house on Old Billerca road, right down the street from Temple Terrace, where your family moved. The band, as I remember it was Kevin Duris, Donnie McIntyre, a guy named Rick, whose last name escapes me and I don't remember the drummer. I knew Bruce Robinson and Peter Lindstrom well- we all lived together in several communal houses- Peter was in the Parker Road Band, later went on to play with Allan Estes for many years, then on to Didi Stewart and the Amplifiers. I remeber Eddie P from High School. I also remember the Mad Hatters from Lexington. They were a big deal back in the day. I was away at boarding school from 66 -69 so I missed the Music Bachs. Too bad there are no tapes- fast forward to 1970 on and I hooked up with your Bro and helped out carrying and setting up gear for FOZ.

Hi Mike, sorry..... I forgot to reply to your email. Are you still playing? Got any audio or video of the old group? Stop by my site.. there are pic's and audio files there. Some of me, my son (Matt) and my dad, we are all bass players.... well, father isn't with us anymore. You get out to the west coast much? Take care.... Daniel

Reflections
I vividly remember the Bachs gig at U Mass. David had a nasty flu that we all caught but he still managed to race with a Shelby Cobra in his GTO (Grand Prix?). I don't remember the specifics of the falling out with the other members but if I had to guess, I think I was jealous of the admiration they had for John Wicklund's guitar work - and he richly deserved it. Frankly, I was the runt of the litter with each of the othe band members being much more musically and emotionally sophisticated. I think I could could have been a better team player but was too insecure to let the real music emerge. Better late than....

John Wicklund
Did this same John Wicklund have a sister, Judy and moved to Waco, Texas?

Drummer
Someone said if you remember the 60's you probably weren't really there. I remember alot, and all the memories are good. Maybe I wasn't really there.

I just saw your brother Mark at a Johnson reunion and he mentioned your website. I dated Tommy Engel in High School and the Thomas twins, Fre Ross, Allyn Winslow, Rick Salome were good friends of mine! It was a fun walk down memory lane.
