I was looking up some details of Allyn's death and happened on your site...WOW! Bruce and I grew up in the same neighborhood and Allyn and I were in the same class.
Somewhere between '67 and '68 Some of the kids at BHS and I started a "teen center" in the Baptist Church basement on Concord Road. I remember very clearly the meeting at which Bruce proposed the name for the new endeavor...C.H.U.R.C.H. Come Help Us Raise Complete Havoc!!! I kid you not!
So that's what it was. Geoff and Gary Thomas, Fred Ross and a bunch of others were involved in set-up and clean-up of the space on Friday or Saturday nights during the Summer.
Music Bachs and Feel played some great music. Those were really busy and happy times.
